Implementation for Project Monitoring

The Management team, Design Engineers, Plant managers and Site Engineers will be benefited by viewing the remote project sites and collaborate with their Design and manufacturing team. A typical project is being implemented with one of the customers where currently the cameras are placed at the Manufacturing facility. This solution will get extended to the sites so that installations and commissioning of equipments at the site shall be viewed by the design & manufacturing team to do design modification and to update the design & project documents as per site conditions.

All their offices, design centers, site offices and manufacturing units are connected over leased lines which make them easy to implement the solution. The design work is one by the design team at design centers, equipments are getting manufactured at various manufacturing facilities and integrated at site while commissioning.

Objectives
As a typical power plant / Refinery project handles too complex and the collaborate engineering is imperative, these tools not only help for efficient collaboration between the team members, but also help to reduce the travel to a great extend. As time and money are two critical components which have a direct influence in profitability, these Video Monitoring tool helps to complete the project in time, reduces re-engineering and helps in better documentation.

Monitoring The Pan/ Tilt/Zoom cameras located at the site helps to see the minute details during installation/ commissioning of various equipments. These Live views are available in the Wide Area Network of the customer, which will be viewable at multiple facilities by multiple people simultaneously.

Regular snap shots of the site conditions are taken for documentation and Project Progress recording. Live Video shall be recorded at any of the offices as per their requirement. Even the camera can configured to send images at regular intervals to Email-IDs or FTP sites. The security and access control built-in with the camera make sure that only authorized viewers are able to access and control the cameras.

Implementation

The cameras shall be connected to a bridged wireless network within the plant so that the cameras can be relocated to various commissioning points easily. The Plant and site offices shall be connected through a RF long distance wireless device and from the site office, it will be hooked to the Wide Area Network. This system provides the flexibility and scalability as required by the customer for an effective Project Monitoring.
